Home, let me come home, home is wherever I'm with you..

I'd planned to spend my weekend in Sheffield lazing around but decided last minute a trip home was much needed. My wonderful Grandad was overdue a visit, my Grandma requested some baked treats and..I missed my parents (shh, don't tell them!)  I do love a trip home though; everything feels so much more simple and relaxing. Perhaps it's because my parents have lived in the same house since before I was born, it's a bit of a safety net! Ahh shucks, I'm a softy at heart!

Here's my weekend in pictures...and a snap to show you a very unexpected present at the bottom - I had no idea!

I woke up to this...blue skies? What a difference a day makes.

Make your own croissants...interesting.

Remove the dough from the packaging

Roll the dough out flat

Split the dough into 6 triangles (already sectioned for you)

And roll...

Keep rolling...

Place on a baking tray

Cook for 10-12 minutes

Verdict: fairly tasty, better with a sweet spread on rather than savory. Nutella and the Lotus biscuit spread are a must!

And for those of you that don't already know about this...GO AND BUY IT. Literally the best thing to grace the shelves since Nutella. These started as biscuits and very quickly became my favourite. Now, the spread..WOAH. Absolute taste sensation!

After breakfast; a wander round the garden...

Oh yeah...and this happened. I am now the proud owner of yet another Apple product, the iPad Mini.
