Lumix's First Day Out

Well, it's taken me 3 weeks to get this post up, I definitely think we need at least 2 extra hours per day.

So, I got a new camera for my birthday. I wanted a nice big chunky DSLR but, as usual, my dad gets involved and insists he has knowledge about EVERYTHING; why do dad's do this? This means I've ended up with a Panasonic Lumix TZ-something something. It's not quite what I had in mind, but the zoom and picture quality are fantastic and it will be perfect for travelling; I can get DSLR quality photographs but have a camera compact enough to not get damaged and to not take up too much room in my backpack. I've read some reviews as well and everybody speaks highly of it which is a bonus.

I decided I would take my new toy out when possible to practice and see what it's capable of; the first opportunity I got was while out dog walking with my mum. We now have a part time pet, black Labrador Bracken. She's absolutely beautiful and belongs to our elderly neighbour, Maisie.

Here's some snaps from our long woodland walk and I have to say, my dad was right (I will never tell him this!), the camera is actually pretty damn good.
