Dairy Free Choco-Nut Ice Cream

I eat ice cream like it's going out of fashion. I am obsessed with it. Slight problem: I have a little bit of a dairy intolerance. Sad face. Despite this, I will still continue to eat ice cream. With this weekends heatwave, I started having a browse for barbeque recipes...which lead me to think of ice cream, I wonder whether there are any dairy free ice creams I could make. As many of you will know, I like to keep things as healthy as possible...so this fruit based treat is perfect!

This is what I found...

[Inspired by BBC Good Food]

All you need (for four servings):
6 frozen bananas - sliced and frozen in a sealed container for at least 4 hours
2 tbsp peanut butter - smooth or crunchy
2 tbsp honey
5 or 6 tbsp cocoa powder
Raspberries and chocolate chips, to serve

Simply throw everything in a blender, and mix until it's an ice cream-y consistency.

Eat it straight away or pop it back in the freezer until you're ready for it.

Deeeeeelicious. And the best thing about this? It is HEALTHY. No dairy, banana based, the honey is natural sugar and the amounts of both cocoa powder and peanut butter are so small that it can't possibly be bad for you. Winner!

I also tried the same recipe but minus the peanut butter and with some chocolate chips and some yummy honey comb crunch

If you have any of your own Dairy Free Ice Cream recipes, please pass them on!
