52 Lists // Week 1 - 2014 Goals


I'm a list maker; always have been, always will be. My parents regularly joke that I spend more time making and re-making lists than actually crossing things off said lists; I also like adding things I've already done to lists, just so I can cross them off (come on, I know I'm not the only one!)


When I saw that blogger Made in Hunters had started the 52 lists project, I wanted to jump on the bandwagon. A list a week like a nice little feature to me! I started Unorganised Chaos to document my life after graduating university - I like the idea of it being like an online diary of my memories, that I can also share with my readers. When I started blogging, I never expected people to actually read it and it took a very long time for me to tell my friends and family about my blog. I moved across from tumblr to blogger in May this year, so now feel like I'm just over 6 months into my 'proper' blogging and am happy to start the year list making so, this time next year, I can reflect on things.

As you know, I don't just share my adventures and culinary experiments with you, I get personal too. I'm a big believer in not keeping secrets and not bottling things up, so I will tell my readers and private, personal things going on in my life - after all, everybody goes through different situations, good and bad, so it's nice to be able to share my experiences and advice whenever I can (something which you will have seen in my Goodbye 2013 post last week).

That said, I am excited by the first list selected by Made in Hunters.


So here are my list of goals for 2014;

1. Do what makes me happy - focus on me and if I'm not happy with something, change it
2. Look after myself - eat well, exercise regularly, don't drink too much - keep my mind and body healthy
3. Trust my own judgement more and stop thinking so much - I'm a terrible decision maker and need to learn to just take the leap sometimes - if it doesn't work out, make the best out of a bad situation and move on
4. Keep in touch with people - I get lazy. It's hard to keep in touch sometimes when you do t speak to people everyday, especially with the time difference,
5. Embrace my experiences - I will hopefully be in Australia for the majority of this year (hopefully squeezing in Fiji and New Zealand at some point
6. Be able to surf - I had a few lessons and plan to do surf camp but want to be able to go home being able to do more than not fall at a baby wave
7. Complete at least another 5 things on My Bucket List
8. Be more of a 'yes' woman - this was my goal last year as well and I DEFINITELY achieved it but I want to step it up a notch this year.
