LET'S TALK: Dealing with Unexpected Situations and Confusion

I feel like the general feel of my blog at the moment is me having a bit of a moan and voicing the little bit of turbulence in my life at the moment but I've always said with my writing, public or not, that I want it to be honest. I see so many people online posting about their weekends, their good news, their engagements/pregnancies etc. but of course, I've said before, most wouldn't post their unhappy or bad moments, would they? Life takes many turns, some good and some bad. I blogged when I first got back from travelling about the difficulties of our 20's - there are soo many things we worry about. But let's face it, our 20's are the time for making mistakes, getting on track and, I suppose, not really having 'the plan'. Not having a plan is not such a bad thing.

So right now, I'm dealing with an unexpected situation, unexpected feelings...and well, it's all a little confusing. How do you deal with the unexpected?

I recently watched a vlog by the lovely Megs and her pal Laura from Superlatively Rude - this really helped. It acknowledges and the struggles and confusion we go through and it's always easy to take comfort in knowing that you really aren't alone. Take the advice of others and don't feel like you're alone in feeling out of your depth.

The past week has been a little blast from the past. I've made a big change and I've become a little confused about various other things. YET, I remain optimistic. I've had a brilliant week at an event with work (that I will be blogging about this week!) and it's made me SO excited about my job. I think it could really be the start of something good for me (hopefully this won't jinx things!) Focus on the things that make you excited/happy.

The way I'm dealing with things at the moment is simply by carrying on! Sometimes you just have to ride the wave and wait to see what happens. The situations that arise, the feelings we have, the confusion that sometimes feels like it consumes'll all sort itself out. Sometimes a decision isn't always easy or straight forward but sometimes you just know, and you just have to do what you think is right. Be brave.

Plenty of sleep, a little bit of exercise, eating well, talking about the things that are going on in your head and in your life...honesty, openness and taking care of yourself really are key! Look after your body and your mind.

I'm a little devil for overthinking (and also jumping in feet first) but hey, having no plan...well, that's half the fun, isn't it? Stop overthinking, start thinking about you.

Feelings are a bit of a bugger as well but trust your gut instinct. It's usually right...and I'm about 80% sure mine is. For once, I'm not in a rush and I'm optimistic about how the next 12 months will pan out.
