FIVE FOR FRIDAY #7

It's now less than 2 weeks until Christmas - have you got your Christmas shopping done yet? Me neither - although I am planning to complete it this weekend during a trip to Birmingham - which I am REALLY looking forward to as I'm seeing the lovely ladies that happen to be my favourite food bloggers!

This week has been another hectic one of illness, Christmas meals and simply not enough hours in the day. I'm not sure if this time of year makes that feeling of chaos more apparent the closer we get to Christmas Day?!

This week's FFF:

1. Relaxation at Home - It was so good to get home last weekend after cancelling my parents for a little bit of hibernation. I've been constantly moaning lately that I'm always exhausted so it felt good to relax.

2. Work's Christmas Lunch - Yesterday my work colleagues and I had the nicest three course meal. I opted for the Brie and Beetroot Filo Tartlet, Beef Roast and the nicest Creme Brulee. It was also great to get out of the office with everybody, have a few drinks and some good grub!

3. So. Much. Sleep. - On Wednesday I feel so drained of energy (I can't even sum up quite how much!) That evening I got in from work, lay down on my bed at 8pm...the next thing I knew it was 7.30am the following morning and my alarm was going off. I can't remember the last time I slept for more than 7 hours but it felt fantastic.

4. Tree Decorating - My Mum had already decorated the main Christmas tree in our living room by the time I got home. This year, however, we have a second (and also a third...) Christmas tree in our conservatory which was my duty to decorate. When I was little my parents bought the whole collection of Disney decorations and I decided they would be perfect for this little tree. I really

5. Stunning Views - Mum, Bracken and I went on two long walks over the weekend and the weather couldn't have been better. I absolutely love the walks near my house - I'm very lucky to live so close to Sherwood Forest and Sherwood Pines.

What a lovely week!

What have your highlights of the week been?
